Would you offer your services to the local Citizens Advice Bureaus ?

they already know ?and they do referWould you offer your services to the local Citizens Advice Bureaus ?
I have in the past.

In my previous life I was a trained counsellor with a psychology degree.

I have been on 'reception' at the CAB as I had knowledge of many different services that may be able to help in a specialised field.

I enjoyed my time there; even though I was often sworn and shouted at.

I consider it good training for coming on here!Would you offer your services to the local Citizens Advice Bureaus ?
You really need specialist knowledge in a chosen field. I think most volunteers would be ex local government officers for example Housing benefit or council tax. Or lawyers specialising in immigration or employment law. Things are so much more complicated these days I don`t think I would be much use!
yes i would but i would prefer to offer my help to people suffering with anxiety and depression on a help line.
I doubt I'm qualified.
I've thought of joining the Samaritans, but I know I'd encourage people to jump! I'll just get my coat.
If what I say makes a difference, yes. I wouldn't care if it's a non-paying service.
probably not.
If I had any extra Time...!!
Yes i would!
If it helps others i probably would.
No,,,
